A beginning in taking photography opened my belief that my artwork was potentially more than a hobby and my favourite lesson at school. I was noticed for my choices in composition by tutors. An “artistic eye” explained one tutor; this sparked the decision to pursue my dream career. I wanted to write and illustrate my own stories. Small things from childhood, like making up the stories to fit the pictures of a book I could not read to myself, these all feed into a little talent that could, with work, be used to achieve a dream. Gaining GCSEs’ and a foundation diploma in Art and Design finally lead to a BA in Creative Writing and Illustration. A graduate of the University of Worcester UK is my proudest award so far. I’m so glad I fought for what I dreamed.
However, the story is not at its end. I love print making. when the opportunity arose to attend the University of the West of England (UWE) to participate in the Multi-Discipline Printmaking course i jumped at the challenge.
Here I go again….
